OJS (Open Journal Systems) is a free system for managing and publishing electronic journals. It was developed by PKP (Public Knowledge Project) and is currently in its third version. PKP is a non-profit research initiative that works to make the results of research funded through open access policies freely available, as well as developing strategies to make this possible, including software solutions. The OJS provides numerous features for publishing electronic journals, including double-blind peer review with fully online submission. Integration with the DOI (Digital Object Identifier), automated sending of email notifications, indexing of articles in indexers, as well as a wide range of plugins.
